Fantasy Alert

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 29, 2026

Fantasy Alert is a fantasy football news app for fans, made by eDraft, at FantasyAlert.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how to get it removed. It is written to be read.

What we collect

  • Account details. Fantasy Alert uses the same sign-in as eDraft. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or an email code, we receive your name, email address, and an account identifier from our sign-in provider. We never see or store a password. You can read every alert without an account; signing in is needed to react, comment, follow, or turn on notifications.
  • Your persona and alias. A cartoon persona and a name you pick. These stand in for your real name and photo everywhere other people can see you. Until you pick an alias, your first name and last initial are shown.
  • Follows and preferences. The players and teams you follow, which alerts you want pushed, your quiet hours and daily cap, and your time zone (so quiet hours land at the right time).
  • Comments and reactions. What you post on a story is public: anyone who opens that story, in the app or on FantasyAlert.com, sees it with your alias and persona. Your Helpful or Not helpful answers are stored per account and are not shown to other readers.
  • Notification devices. If you turn on alerts, we store a push token for that iPhone so we can send them, together with a log of which alerts we sent you and when.
  • Feedback and contact messages. What you write through the feedback bubble or the contact form, with the screen you were on.
  • Usage and diagnostics. We log errors and slow requests, and count which screens get used, so we can fix problems. Web analytics receive the page, your browser and device type, and a rough location from your IP address under a random identifier, never your name or email.

How we use it

  • To show you news and send you the alerts you asked for.
  • To show your comments, reactions, alias and persona to other readers. That is what commenting is.
  • To learn which alerts readers find helpful, so the alerts get better. Your answers may be used per account, across everyone, or both.
  • To send you emails you asked for: sign-in codes and account notices. No marketing email.
  • To keep the service working, secure, and free of abuse.

Where the news comes from

Every alert names its source and links to the original post or page. We relay and cite; we do not write the news. Sources are public accounts and pages, and we store the text of the posts we relay.

Who else sees it

Our hosting, database, sign-in, email, analytics and push providers process data on our behalf to run the service. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. There are no ads.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays while your account exists. Push tokens are removed when you turn alerts off or sign out on that phone, and when a phone stops accepting them. Diagnostic logs are kept for a short period.

Your choices

  • Change your alias and persona, your follows, and every notification setting in the app at any time.
  • Delete your own comments in the app. Removed comments show as removed.
  • Turn alerts off in the app, or remove the app's notification permission in iPhone Settings.
  • Delete your account: it is the same account as eDraft, so deleting it there removes it from both. In eDraft, open Alerts, then “Account and deletion”. It takes effect immediately.
  • Ask what we hold about you through the contact form.

Children

Fantasy Alert is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date above changes and the app says so.
